Roll-off dumpster rental across the northwest Metro Atlanta area

Woodstock Dumpster Rental Group runs out of a yard on 227 Arnold Mill Rd, close enough to downtown Woodstock that most in-town calls are same-day. We started after seeing the same pattern too often — missed drop-offs, confusing pricing, or poor communication right when someone needed help the most. So we do the opposite. One number that covers the job. A delivery window we actually hit. A person on the phone rather than a form on a website.

Woodstock sits in Cherokee County in the northwest Metro Atlanta area, rolling Piedmont hill country north of Atlanta rather than anything literally mountainous — subdivision streets, HOA-managed cul-de-sacs and the commercial stretch along Highway 92 make up most of what we deliver into. The real Noonday Creek Trail greenway runs from Woofstock Park into downtown Woodstock, a genuine point of local identity that shaped this site's own "Noonday Line" design. Beyond Woodstock itself, our service area reaches the neighboring incorporated city of Holly Springs and thirteen unincorporated Cherokee County communities — two genuinely different kinds of jurisdiction, each with its own permit process, not one uniform shape. A tight lot near downtown Woodstock is a different job than a sloped driveway on a wooded subdivision lot near Towne Lake, and knowing which is which before the truck arrives is most of the job.

Whatever you are clearing — storm and hurricane debris, a family home, a new-construction site or a re-roofing job — the container exists for it. Call (470) 863-4678 and describe it in a sentence.

How it works

Four steps, one phone call

Most bookings take under four minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the box needs to sit and when you need it, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the rental period, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or jobsite. If the surface needs protection we will say so before we set it down.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Clean concrete, metal and yard debris get routed for recovery rather than landfilled where we can. You get your driveway or lot back the way you left it.

Local knowledge

Fifteen communities, and we know the streets

There is a difference between covering an area and knowing it. We know which Woodstock-area subdivision streets and HOA-managed cul-de-sacs run tight, which city has its own right-of-way permit process, and which unincorporated Cherokee County communities run on County Code Enforcement rules instead.

Our service area page lists every community we cover, grouped by Woodstock itself, the neighboring city of Holly Springs, and the unincorporated Cherokee County communities, and each has its own page covering access and the local rules we run into.

Why us

Why people call us back

  • You reach the yard, not a call center

The phone rings at our yard on 227 Arnold Mill Rd, a short run from the Noonday Creek greenway. Whoever picks up knows the difference between a tight Towne Lake cul-de-sac and a wide-open commercial lot off Highway 92.

  • One flat price, said out loud

Delivery, the rental period, pickup, fuel, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance in a single number. If your load looks like it will go over, we say so before the truck leaves the yard.

  • Same-day in Woodstock, honest timing farther out

Call early and most orders in Woodstock go out the same day. Holly Springs and the closer unincorporated communities are usually same- or next-day; farther communities are more often next-day — honestly, and in advance.

  • Driveway and subdivision aware

Boards go under the rails on every driveway as standard, and the driver will tell you before delivery if a tight subdivision street, an HOA-managed cul-de-sac, or a busy commercial site needs a different approach.

  • The right box, not the biggest

Weight fills a container long before volume does. If a 10 yard is the honest answer for your concrete load, that is what we will quote you.

  • Built for real Cherokee County weather

Spring brings real severe-thunderstorm and tornado-watch season, and Gulf hurricane remnants like 2024's Helene have brought down trees and power lines across the county. We size jobs for both, from storm-limb cleanup to full downed-tree debris hauls.

Credentials

What you are actually hiring

Straightforward, checkable facts about who you would be working with — no invented star ratings or reviews.

  • Licensed and insured

Fully insured for general liability and commercial auto. A certificate of insurance goes to your property manager, general contractor or builder on request, usually the same day.

  • Several years, locally run

Woodstock Dumpster Rental Group is locally owned and still runs out of one yard. The number on this page reaches the Woodstock yard, not an answering service in another state.

  • All 15 area communities

Close to the yard in Woodstock and across Holly Springs and the unincorporated Cherokee County communities on our list. We tell you honestly which runs are same-day and which are next-day before you book, not after.

  • Sorted for recovery, not the landfill

Clean concrete, scrap metal and yard debris get routed for recovery rather than buried wherever the local facilities allow it — good practice, and increasingly the standard Georgia and Cherokee County both expect.

Answers

Dumpster rental in Woodstock — your questions

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in Woodstock?

Price depends on the container size, how heavy the material is, how long you keep the container and how far the delivery address is from our yard — every job is genuinely different, so we don't publish a rate card. What we do instead is quote flat, out loud, on the phone: one number covering delivery, the rental period, pickup and disposal, before the truck ever leaves the yard. Call and describe the job for a firm price on that call.

How quickly can you deliver a dumpster in Woodstock?

Near the yard on 227 Arnold Mill Rd, a morning call is often a same-day delivery. Holly Springs and the closer unincorporated Cherokee County communities usually run same- or next-day; the farther communities on our list more often run next-day rather than same-day. Jobsite swap-outs get priority over new deliveries, because a full container stops a crew working.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Woodstock?

It depends on where the container sits. On your own driveway or private property, a permit typically is not required. Placing a container in the street or any public right-of-way in Woodstock requires an encroachment permit through the City of Woodstock's own permit process — confirm the current process and any fee directly with the city before you plan on street placement. Holly Springs is its own incorporated city with a separate process. Addresses in the unincorporated communities we serve fall under Cherokee County Code Enforcement (12453 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA 30188, (770) 592-6000). Our permit guide walks through the pattern across the whole service area.

What can't go in a dumpster in Georgia?

Paint, solvents, oils, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, gas cylinders, propane tanks, asbestos and medical waste are never allowed in a roll-off. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD), part of the state Department of Natural Resources, regulates this material, and it is the kind of load that gets pulled and charged back if it turns up mixed in with everything else.

Will a dumpster damage my driveway?

A loaded roll-off is heavy, and boards go under the rails as standard on every placement to spread that weight out. Tell us if the surface is anything other than a standard driveway — a tight subdivision street, an HOA-managed cul-de-sac, or a sloped lot on Cherokee County's rolling Piedmont hills — and we will talk through the right placement before the truck arrives.

Which dumpster size do I need?

Volume and weight are two separate limits and the material decides which one stops you first. Household clear-outs and construction offcuts run out of space, so size up. Concrete, brick, tile and soil run out of weight with the box barely a third full, so size down and fill it part way. The 20 yard suits most whole-project jobs; the 10 yard is the right answer for anything heavy.

Do you deliver across all 15 communities, not just Woodstock itself?

Yes, all 15 communities we cover, and they genuinely fall under three different permitting authorities. There's Woodstock itself with its own city permit process, the neighboring incorporated city of Holly Springs with its own separate process, and thirteen unincorporated Cherokee County communities — Towne Lake, Oak Grove, Sixes, Hickory Flat, Macedonia, Univeter, Toonigh, Sutallee, Free Home, Victoria, Gold Ridge, Keithsburg and Mica — which fall under Cherokee County Code Enforcement. We tell you honestly which permit office applies to your address and roughly what turnaround to expect before anything is booked.

When is the best time of year to book?

Cherokee County doesn't have a hard seasonal shutdown the way colder markets do — demand runs fairly steady year-round with a couple of real local upticks. Spring severe-thunderstorm and tornado-watch season, roughly March through May, is when storm-damaged roofing and downed-limb cleanup picks up. Late summer and fall bring Gulf hurricane remnant season — most recently 2024's Hurricane Helene, which brought down trees and power lines and caused flash flooding across the county — when downed-tree and flood-debris hauls run heaviest. Outside those windows, containers and contractors are generally easier to schedule.
